About Zayed Siddiki
Zayed Siddiki is an aspiring Bangladeshi new generation filmmaker based in Dhaka. He has a Master’s degree in Television and Film Studies from University of Dhaka. For about a decade he has been writing directing short fiction and documentaries. His films have been screened, invited, competed and awarded in several national and international film festivals in different countries that include, Seoul International Youth Film Festival, Kolkata, Dhaka, Siliguri, Delhi, Kerala International Film Festivals, Dada Saheb Phalke International Film Festival, Salamindanaw Asian Film Festival in Phillipines, HAKIS International Film Festival Anakara, Ringerike International Youth Film Festival Norway, 12 Months Film Festival, Cluj Napoka, Romania, South Asian Short Film Festival Kolkata, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Film Festival, International Inter-University Short Film Festival, International Short & Independent Film Festival, Dhaka and International Film Festival of South Asia Toronto etc. The filmmakers other films include Colourkite, Lives Behind Garbage, Dream Lithe, Disappearing Artisans and in making of his first feature film Silence of the Words which is an adaptation of legendary writer Hasan Azizul Haque.
