About Shubhashish Roy

A Bangladeshi independent filmmaker, scriptwriter and story writer. He entered the world of cinema by playing the role of Tariq in the 1996 national film award winning film "Dipu Number Two". He holds a bachelor's and master's degree from the Department of International Relations, Dhaka University. In addition to his university life, he began working with disadvantaged children in society. Founded an organization called Ekmatra Society. In his first film "Je Shahar Chorabali", he highlighted about various aspects of the lives of disadvantaged children in the society. His other notable works include "Oparajita Mukti r sikkha sofor", "Katus Kutus". He is currently working as an Executive Director of Ekmatra Society in addition to making movies.
